With Easter approaching, my kids are super excited to do the Easter egg hunt in the garden. I am really amazed by how resilient children are and how quickly they adapt to the new circumstances. They know this year it will be just us doing the Easter egg hunt in the back garden, and they are so looking forward to finding all these yummy chocolate eggs.
This week, Sebastian is teaching you the sign for chocolate, a sign that it will get even the most reluctant communicators signing.
The sign of the week, starting on Monday the 13th of April is CHOCOLATE.
This Easter is one that we certainly won?t forget in a while. It is going to be very different from the way we normally spend the Easter holidays, but we can still and indeed we should make it fun and interesting for our little ones.
As April is Autism Awareness month, my son Sebastian will continue presenting The Sign of The Week.
My kids are planning on baking an Easter egg nest recipe that we found online. And we?ll still do our Easter egg hunt in the garden on Easter, why not?
With the children housebound during the quarantine, we must keep it fun so they are distracted from the reality that surrounds us all at this time.
