Lámh Sign For To Wait

Welcome to the Sign Of The Week.

Did you know that children with autism are 4 times more likely to follow instructions when you use signs with words? Yes, 4 times more likely! That shows how helpful visual cues are for children with language delays.

With that in mind, today, I have picked a sign to support the following instructions in the classroom: TO WAIT. Signing for “wait” at the same time you give the instruction will help your students understand better.

The sign of the week, starting next Monday the 14th of September, is TO WAIT.
